I am a day late...how is it that now that my children are grown and I am retired from teaching, the days seem to fly by faster, and I get less accomplished? This was a fairly good week as far as goals...
Declutter...Since I am going to be needing some warmer weather clothing for a trip, I decided to work on my closet and cedar chest. I have two bags, things I have not worn in a couple years, clothing that I loved once upon a time, but really no longer fit....so all I have to do now is get the bag to the donation center...that will be Monday.
No sitting binges...not my best week for this one. Problem is I get involved in something and the hour goes by, and I am into the second hour. So, I will set my phone as soon as I sit, until I get a new fitbit to warn me.
Walking 5 hours a week...check! Had to walk mostly at the walking circuit, or at the mall (where I tend to walk and shop) since Mother Nature is reminding us that it is still February, but I did get more than the 5 hours in.
Weight loss...stayed the same , but I know that happens, and it is not a gain, the main thing.
You all seem to be doing great...so on to a new week !!!!

Abby,
ReplyDeleteI am doing this challenge with the pressure of posting. I walk an hour each and every day minimum. Being retired, we both have given ourselves permission to enjoy life. So there goes the time. I feel it every day........ time slips through my fingers. I am not snacking at all. I can feel the weight loss, but do not approach the scales just yet. Chicken, I am.

Sometimes, not relying so much on the scales is a good thing...healthy is my goal. hugs abby
DeleteHi Abby, well done on the decluttering and walking, and good on you not letting mother nature deter you. That would be so easy to do.

Yes, but in my case, it is do I give in to mother nature or please Master....hmmmmm....not much of a contest,'

Abby, I totally get you on time slipping away once retired. I often ask where has it gone. Well done on the walking, even if shopping it still counts. Also the decluttering, makes you feel better donating clothes no longer needed.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the coming week.
Hugs Lindy xx
Thanks....I look back and think..3 kids, teaching job and everything else, no wonder I was always tired...

i should use the mall for my walks too! i know thats an option but for some reason i forget that i HAVE that option when the weather gets too hot or the only time i can get out is smack in the middle of the afternoon!
ReplyDeleteYes, in the summer the mall is air-conditioned!!!

Yay, Abby! And I hear you about time - it's amazing how fast it goes. And I'll think, when I'm not doing x, I'll have lots of time. But no. That time gets sucked up somewhere...
ReplyDeleteI agree, I try to make the most of each day, but before I know it a week has gone by.

Time does seem to slip by now that I am retired! I would not trade it for the world, though. Sam says I am in the middle of one of my "cleaning frenzies." I want to be completely done by April 1st, so I can spend time outdoors.
ReplyDeleteI exercised every day this week. Only check the scale twice a week as I am on Weight Watchers maintenance.
Sounds like things are going well for you, Abby. I must remember the mall for walking in cold weather.
Hugs From Ella
Hurrah for you...the mall is also great in the heat of summer...hugs abby
