Sept. 4...Something I would like to try...

I would love to try and learn as many different dances as possible.  I would not expect to be an expert, but be able to dance them well enough so that  others would know what I was dancing.  The Tango, the Viennese Waltz, The Cha-Cha, the Rumba, the Salsa, the Boogie-Woogie, the Foxtrot, the Jive, the Lindy Hop, the Paso Doble...to name a few.  What a great way to exercise and have fun with your partner!

  2. Sounds fun, Abby! Years ago, not too long after my dad died, my mom joined dance classes at a local dance studio and really enjoyed it until her hip kept her from dancing anymore. Hope you find someplace to start lessons.

    Hugs and blessings...Cat

    1. Don't think graceful is a part of my make-up, but still think it would be fun.

  8. This sounds like a very fun idea, Abby! :) I hope that you do get to learn a whole bunch of these dances! I bet that it is great exercise.

When I was about 11 through 15, my folks signed me up for cotillion. We met every other Friday eve, and then had two formal dinner dances. I learned the cha cha, waltz, quick step waltz, jive, and ... those kind of things. It was very fun because a lot of my fellow classmates, guys and girls were in it as well. Not sure that I can remember more than a step or two, and I am no twinkle toes (HAHA), but it was FUN! I hope that you do it! Maybe some day we can watch you and Master on Dancing with the Stars! One, two, cha-cha-cha! :) Many hugs,

    <3 Katie

  9. Not long ago Wanita and I did beginners class at dancing school. (Teacher said I could lead well, LOL). Wanita said I was within five steps with her around the dance floor...
Still it was great fun. Maybe because my partner was so good?

    1. Something tells me Master would be a great leader also....only don't think His partner would be as good as yours..but it would still be fun.

  10. sounds like wonderful fun and I hope you do it... my husband and I took some dance classes before we were married and then took a swing dance class after...it was lots of fun but unfortunately life happened and we haven't since...other than the occasional prom sway in the livingroom. :-) Hugs
