I am finally...sort of...back

First of all...a great big....THANK YOU ALL....for the prayers , good wishes, bubbles..whatever.

Things did not go quite as planned.....3 hour surgery turned out to be 5, with complications. Another 8 day hospital stay.  I am home, but far from recovered, my daughter is learning far more that she ever wanted about yucky medical things like drains and dressings. My son flew in last weekend, my oldest daughter has been here for the past few days, and my sister arrives tomorrow to help out this week.

It will be a long time before you are reading about any thing kinky or sexy or spanking related here. I do play on maybe weekly postings, and I will be catching up with all of you...my wonderful blogging friends. I am counting on all of you to keep life interesting for me.  Thanks again for all of your support.

  3. Glad to see you back here with us. You are missed. So sorry things didn't go as planned and that your recovery is going to be so difficult. Glad that your family is there to help, that is everything, isn't it?

As Elis said, don't count on too much sexy or spanking here. The best I can do is provide a story each Monday.

Hugs and prayers for a speedier recovery.

  17. Hi, Abby. I haven't been around many blogs very often in the last... forever it seems. Just spent some time getting caught up with the last few months of your blog. I flipped right over here as soon as I read Minelle's post of a few weeks ago about you.

I really hope you're resting and well on the way to being fully mended. Sending prayers and passive healing energy to you for that. And big cyber hugs, of course.

You know me well enough to know I am going to let the irreverent show now. Some of your posts this year were h-o-t! Yowza, girl. Good on ya! Who says "grannies" don't rock? ;-)

Abby, I looked and looked, but cannot find where they found your gallbladder. Where the heck did it relocate that they couldn't find it earlier with various scans of your abdominal area? Did it migrate far north to check out your upper organs? Hide out in your throat? It didn't move south to warmer climes - did it?

Oh, if any of this was even slightly funny, I apologize. Even tiny chuckles are rough after surgery. I tried to keep it boringly bland, dry and mildly droll... just enough silliness to elicit a smile.

Hey, I think our grands are fairly similar in number and age. I'm so glad you get to see yours fairly frequently. It's never often enough - as long as we can send them to/with their parents when we want. I rarely see mine now due to distances, but I've had them living with me for extended periods before. I prefer the latter to the former, even if it was a little too much of a good thing at times. ;-)

I hope it was okay for me to comment so late to this post. I'm in the dark about your current condition, so please forgive any mis-speak in my words.
